Calla was exceptional to work with and not at all like other brokers I have worked with in the past. She was courteous, receptive, responsive, and most of all she worked to make processing all applications and documents completely smooth and stress-free for me!

As I imagine is the case with a vast amount of people, I have always had a bit of a distaste towards working with rental brokers. In the past they have dropped the ball on application processes, credit checks etc., and ultimately their inability to operate smoothly and effectively (or even their desire to try and upsell) has caused me more headaches than it was worth, and ultimately they have even shot themselves and the property owner in the foot.

Read: My last apartment I found online and requested a viewing with the broker (it was listed at $1900/month with first, last and brokers fee). The broker told me that the apartment had been rented and proceeded to show me several more expensive options that lacked certain amenities I had made it clear were essential. I later discovered that a personal friend had rental property available, and he took me to take a look. No joke at all....it was the original place I had wanted to view only instead of paying 1900, my friend and at that time landlord asked for 1600. Point is, the broker lied and tried to upsell, when if he had just been forthright he would have made a fee, I would have been less stressed out, and my then landlord would have been making 300 more a month.

To the final point. I contacted Calla, she showed us the unit and was completely upfront about everything required to rent and timelines that she would expect, and the deal was done. Couldn't have been happier :) (less)
